Passenger String Quartet:

The Passenger String Quartet is a Pacific Northwest group that was originally formed by members of the Seattle Rock Orchestra. The group performs original compositions by contemporary local composers, backs a wide variety of regional, and national touring groups from David Bazan, DJ Spooky, Suzanne Vega, to Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Ivan and Alyosha, Kris Orlowski, Shenandoah Davis, Thousands, and many more.

Natalie Mai Hall – Cello

Natalie Mai Hall is a noise experimental cellist from the University of Washington.  She has performed with Neil Welch’s Sleeper Ensemble, the Seattle Rock Orchestra, Ray Dalton, Kris Orlowski, Macklemore and Ryan Lewis, Tim Berne, Ken Arkind and the Trans-Siberian Orchestra.

Seth May-Patterson – Viola

One of the last students of the virtuoso violist Emanuel Vardi, Seth May-Patterson performs regularly with the Tacoma Symphony, Federal Way Symphony, and sits Principal for the Seattle Philharmonic Orchestra and the Seattle Rock Orchestra. In his free time he serves as a personal servant to his 17lb feline friend, Maxwell.

Alina To – Violin

Alina To is a Seattle-based freelance violinist and private violin teacher, studying the instrument since the age of 10. She is currently a member of the experimental music collective Scrape, Tacoma Symphony Orchestra, and Lake Washington Symphony Orchestra, and has collaborated with artists including the Fleet Foxes, DJ Spooky, Jherek Bischoff, Macklemore, and Grand Hallway. In addition to giving lessons, Alina works as a faculty member at the University of Washington International English Program. She loves experimenting with food, tap dancing, and laughing.

Manager, leader and main orchestrator for the Passenger String Quartet.
