City Arts is proud to announce the second installment in their new Band Crush series, featuring a set of collaborative music from songwriter and vocalist Will Jordan and composer and violinist Andrew Joslyn. Accomplished solo artists in their own right, both Jordan and Joslyn are also master collaborators, with co-writing and musician credits including Nikki Minaj and Macklemore. On October 7, City Arts and presenting sponsor Elysian Brewing will host an intimate evening of music from these two amazing artists at the Piranha Shop.
“Will and Andrew worked together on the lead single from Andrew’s debut LP,” says City Arts senior editor Jonathan Zwickel, “and that song, ‘Plastic Heaven,’ an elevated R&B ballad, was one of the album’s highlights. They’re both super prolific, and Will’s singing voice combined with Andrew’s mastery of pop composition is gonna explode off the stage.”
Band Crush is a concert series from City Arts that celebrates the ties between Northwest musicians. City Arts asks their favorite music-makers to choose artists they love and then unite them for a special combined set. The resulting concerts are intimate, one-of-a-kind affairs captured on video for a wider audience.
